AIIMS Bhopal would be ready by 2012
The under construction All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS) along with 960 beds hospital at Bhopal would be ready by the
year 2012. The AIIMS project in charge and chief Engineer,
Ashutosh Mishra informed this to Madhya Pradesh Urban Development and
Administration Minister, Babulal Gaur, during a visit to the AIIMS site. A total
of 39 departments related to different diseases will be constructed in the AIIMS.
The medical college building will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 228
crore while nursing college, hostel, auditorium and other facilities will be constructed
with a cost of Rs. 148 crore, mishra said.
The 960 bed super speciality hospital will have specialist doctor, ultra modern
machines and operation theatres. The campus will also have a dharamshala to be constructed
in five acre area for the family members of the outstation patients, he added.
