D.Y Patil All India Entrance Test Details
What is it?
Dr. D. Y Patil All India Entrance Test (AIET 2012 B.Tech entrance
exam) is conducted for bachelor and integrated Biotechnology, Bioinformatics,
Biomedical Engineering courses in D. Y. Patil University. This University offers
various medical and bio-engineering courses along with MBA. For its various Bio-engineering
courses like biotechnology, Bioinformatics and biomedical engineering D. Y. Patil
University conducts a separate entrance every year called AIET-B.Tech entrance exam.
Candidates appearing in this entrance exam need to cover the syllabus of maths,
physics and chemistry in order to qualify the exam and get admission in the D. Y.
Patil University.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission.
- Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized
Board, securing minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry,
Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (PCMB) and English
as a subject is compulsory.
- Candidates with Mathematics will be considered eligible for B.Tech Bioinformatics/B.Tech
Biomedical Engineering courses.
- The Scheduled caste, Scheduled tribe and OBC students shall have relaxation of 10%
in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.

Duly filled application should be send along with DD towards registration fees of
AIET to the Co-ordinator, AIET-B.Tech 2012, Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics,
Plot No: 50, Sector 15, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai 400614 Or Filled applications can
be submitted to the distribution and collection centres.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates who secure the minimum 50% marks in AIET-B.Tech 2012 entrance exam shall
be eligible for admission to B.Tech Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biomedical Engineering
and M.Tech Integrated courses and would be offered provisional admission to these
courses on the basis of their inter-se-merit at the time of Counselling.
