Ahmedabad has posted 21.03 per cent result in both groups; a group is 26.2 per cent
while the result of B group is 37.61 percent.
City lad Valay Shah topped the Integrated Professional Competence
Course (IPCC) final examination in the country. The IPCC is a mid-level test held
ahead of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) final exams. The result was announced on
8th August 2011.
Valay is a student of HL College of Commerce and aims to complete his CA along with
B.Com degree course. He had ranked sixth in the HSC general stream results announced
in 2010, scoring 93.57 per cent.
Ahmedabad has posted 21.03 per cent result in both groups. The result of A group
is 26.2 per cent while the result of B group is 37.61 percent.
The result of the Professional Competence Course held as per the old syllabus was
also announced. Ahmedabad posted a result of 13.34 per cent. In this, six students
from Gujarat have scored ranks in top 50 in the country.
Speaking to TOI, Valay attributed his success to his sister Ruchita Shah who ranked
19th in the recently announced CA final exam. Valay said that he and his sister
used to study together to crack the CA exams and his sister would willingly help
him whenever in difficulty.
Valay said he prepared for 11 hours daily since February for the exams. He also
used to play football for two hours to unwind and freshen himself up. Valay is a
big fan of Indian cricket captain M S Doni and says his success peaked with that
of the Indian team! Kamal Agarwal is another city lad who ranked 21 in the IPCC
exams.
