The Bombay high court on Thursday (4th August) slammed
Maharashtra for its negative mindset even as it directed admission to a leg amputee
for the first year MBBS course in the physically handicapped category. A division
bench was hearing a petition filed by Shaikh Roshan Jahan who despite standing third
in the Mumbai merit list of CET was disqualified on account of her disability.
