Nishank dedicates Nursing college and school to public
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank dedicated Rs. 7.06 crore State School and College of Nursing buildings at Chandernagar on the occasion of World Nurses' Day on 12 May.
Dr. Nishank also laid the foundation stone of second phase of the project and urged the students to work for this noble profession with dedication.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nishank said his government was committed to fill the gap of human resource in medical and health sector in the state and MBBS doctors would be available from Medical College set up in Srinagar and Haldwani.
Medical Education Minister Balwant Singh Bhuryal said work was on to open institutions to impart B.Sc. nursing at Pauri, Almora, Tehri and Pithoragarh and the session would be started this year itself.
Social Welfare Minister Matbar Singh Kandari while speaking on the occasion said 108 emergency service had proved a boon for needy people in the hill state.
Agriculture Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Principal Secretary Medical education Vinita Kumar, Director Medical Health Dr. Asha Mathur were also present among others.
