IIM-Calcutta to conduct CAT this year
The Indian Institute of Management - Calcutta (IIM-C) will conduct the country's
most leading management entrance examination, namely, Common Admission Test (CAT)
this year. The commutation of the responsibility took place in March this year.
Janakiraman Moorthy, one of the faculties of IIM-C and the newly appointed Convener
for CAT 2011 said that the internal process of interchanging the responsibility
is over. Now, work has been started on the modalities of the test for this year.
He further added that time is pre-mature enough to declare anything specific about
the details regarding what new aspects will be introduced in the test this year
and so on.
Moorthy further added that for conducting the test online, CAT will continue its
partnership with Prometric.
While IIM-C will conduct CAT in 2011, IIM-Lucknow will subsidize them in the process.
Moorthy said that IIM-C, while leading the responsibility for conducting CAT, will
be in touch with the rest of the IIMs and get support from them as well in various
ways.
